1.Person Centred Planning
- Facilitator for Transforming Transitions, person centred planning work with young people and their families across Scotland, liaising with families and their supporters and facilitating MAP and PATH planning meetings.
2. Mental health training
-Co-Owner of ‘Open To All’, mental health awareness and social inclusion training for museum and art gallery staff (www.opentoalltraning.co.uk) Development of business and delivery of training, including supporting a team of artists with mental health issues to assist in delivery.
- Trainer on Realising Recovery and WRAP, courses run by Lothian NHS Mental Health and Wellbeing Team, promoting good practice and recovery approaches to mental health workers and the wider public.
3.Art and Mental Health
-Creativity and wellbeing courses at Link Up, women’s community project, SEASONS and ‘Community health at the House’, all Edinburgh. These include discussions on wellbeing, practical artwork and ceramic classes in a supportive environment.
-workshop leader for Artlink Central, running art workshops for adults with mental health issues and older people with dementia in hospitals, producing large scale ceramic pieces for their environment.
4.Group Facilitation
Facilitator roles including teaching on Art and Medicine course at Dundee University Medical School, facilitator for Edinburgh University Scottish Social Services Learning Network Citizen Leadership group.
5. Ceramic Classes
Successful business running evening classes ‘Organic Ceramics’ from my studio at Coburg House in Edinburgh. Promoting, organising and teaching a range of creative ceramic techniques to a diverse group of people in an informal setting.
